Stone

I see a round stone
I can feel it in my heart
even from this distance
I want to hold it in my arms
before the cool tide covers in a pool
and it's gone
I know it would eventually return
but I may not be available next time...
Every stone is a diamond
if you only look hard enough
A diamond in the rough...
"pretty rough indeed," he said
But I could feel him in my heart
even from this distance
And I want to hold him in my arms
before the cool tide carries him to school
and he's gone
For I know he would return here
but I may not be available next time...

So let's toss caution to the sea breeze!
If life is only a flicker
what is a little pain
aside from feeling human?
This world is tied in heart-strings
wrapped around the globe
Let's tie eachother together
let's let us miss eachother
and dream of fingertips on skin
For a thin memory eclipses any fantasy
like comparing stones to feathers

And Magic is real
not a dream
